In Frankfort, IN on a major rural road and are suddenly without power on a very dark and dreary, weak and weary but moonlit night. No major weather to cause the outage. All phone calls to the power company have been met with a busy signal. In our attempt to report the outage at the power company website we discovered -- the power company does not have a website -- they'd probably need power to run it though and that seems to be a problem for them. An attempt to call a power company employee directly earned no results -- fitting for a company unable to keep the lights on.
Darkness is now our friend. It is all we have to keep warm. We have embraced it.
